Trawden Forest Neighbourhood Plan Review 2026
Call for Sites July 2026.
A Call for Sites is an information-gathering exercise where Local and Neighborhood planning invites landowners, developers, agents, community groups, and members of the public to suggest pieces of land that may be available for future development or designation.
What a Call for Sites Does
Identifies Potential Land: It helps the council find land that is available and might be suitable for future housing, employment, or other types of development.
Protects Local Spaces: In Pendle, it also provides an opportunity for residents and groups to nominate local Green Spaces they want to protect from development.
Feeds into Evidence Bases: The data collected goes into the council's land availability assessments to give planners a clear picture of what land exists across the borough.
What it Does Not Do
It is not a decision-making process: Submitting a site does not mean it is automatically allocated for development, nor does it guarantee planning permission
It is not a final allocation: Choosing which sites are sustainable and fit the local strategy happens later during formal consultation and drafting stages of the Neighbourhood plan
If a site is included on the Map, it does not mean that it is suitable for development nor does it imply a commitment to its allocation within the Neighbourhood Plan. Its inclusion is solely for notification purposes.
