Full Results of the Public Spaces Protection Order Consultation
The Parish Council conducted the public consultation regarding rules around whether there should be restrictions brought into the Pendle Borough Council Public Spaces Protection Order, between 17th and 31st October 2024 and what a fantastic response we received.
The consultation was avaialble to complete online, on paper and Councillors spent time at the Recreation Ground asking the users of the space their opinions. The results of the consultation are available via the link below.
Pendle Borough Council reviews the PSPO every three years, and we are asked whether we would like any of their rules to the spaces changing; hence this consultation.
At the Parish Council meeting on 4th November, the results were reviewed by the Parish Council and it was resolved that there would be no implementation of rules regarding the number of dogs walkers are permitted to have with them and whether they should be on leads of no more than 2m in length.
Full Results of the Future of the Recreation Ground Consultation
Alongside the consultation about the Public Spaces Protection Order, a consultation was held regarding the future of how residents would like to see the Recreation Ground being used.
The Parish Council have confirmed to Pendle Borough Council that we would like to accept the asset transfer of the site, from this transfer, a Management Committee would need to be established so that all user groups have equal input into any proposed changes to the site and how it will be used and managed.
Again, another fantastic response with a number of residents requesting to potentially join the Management Committee. Full results of the consultation are via the link below.
